The two-day Global Business Investors Summit under Bihar Business Connect 2024 has started from Thursday morning at Gyan Bhawan in Patna. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha, Industries Department Minister Nitish Mishra inaugurated it. Through this summit, Bihar government is inviting big companies to set up their enterprises in Bihar. This year, representatives of more than 80 companies from India and abroad participated in this summit. Bihar government is focusing a lot on its startup policy.

Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary said that we are ready to move forward. I am saying this because earlier we did not realize some things. We are ahead of Bangladesh and Indonesia in population. We have talent. Most children from Bihar pass the UPSC exam. This talent has to be used. The most talented people in the country are here. The children of Bihar are either at the top or at the bottom.
Samrat Chaudhary said that earlier the water coming from Nepal used to destroy us. If Nepal had released only Rs 2 lakh water, about 15 districts would have been submerged. But this time 6.5 lakh cusecs of water was released from Nepal. Despite this, flood water did not recede completely in even a single block. We are going to build five big dams soon. Today, through the Global Summit, we want to move forward in many areas. Maize is found in abundance here. Samrat Chaudhary told the investors that we need your cooperation in setting up a food processing unit.
Deputy CM Vijay Sinha said that the Bihar government is fully behind those investing in the industry. Bihar has been the land of knowledge and science. A lot of progress is being made in the field of development in Bihar. The Central Government has gifted an expressway to Bihar. Bihar’s name is becoming famous in the entire country in the field of ethanol. We are also working a lot on crime control. We could have achieved double digit growth for one and a half decades continuously. Many policies have been made for investors. This is our appeal to you to become a partner in the economic development of Bihar.
Industries Department Secretary Vandana Preyasi said that Bihar is now going to write a new saga. We are going to bring food processing, pharma, plastic and biofuel policies. This will prove to be a milestone in the industry. He said that we appeal to investors to invest in Bihar. Bihar is ready for this. There is a lot of potential here in the industry.
Like last year, this year too many big companies have participated in the summit. Around 300 companies including Ambani, Adani, Godrej participated in the 2023 Global Business Investors Summit. These companies had signed MOUs worth a total of Rs 50,530 crore. However, even after a year, the projects of only three companies have been started so far.
